Our “digital natives” may be able to flit between Facebook and Twitter while simultaneously uploading a selfie to Instagram and texting a friend. But when it comes to evaluating information that flows through social media channels, they are easily duped.
This fit in my own observations, and for me this report does not come as a surprise. It becomes harder and harder to find people who are able think for themselves, who don’t follow the herd mentality and don’t have the habit to be opinionated by all the crap they are reading online, on Facebook or whatever consumer channel they choose. It is plain horror. News and information should be more then a 145 chars headline from a single commercially controlled source.
